GOOD BYE GROUT CLEANING HELLO FREE TIME:
I decided to renovate two bathrooms but somehow keep an old fashioned feel about it. When I priced the purchase of tiles and the cost of a tiler versus the acrylic splashback I found no difference so I decided to take a chance on the splashback. I am so glad I did. I have combined the old and new together and it looks great and it's so easy to clean.
I decided to go with Innovative Splashbacks because they custom make your splashback and I mean custom make it. (Size, colour and recessed shower shelf). Dealing with Elli was a breeze. Any hiccup we encountered wasn't a problem for Elli. She delivered what we wanted.
I have had innovative splashbacks in my ensuite and kids bathroom for over 6 years now and it looks exactly like the day it was first installed. It so easy to keep clean the kids can do it. I have said good bye to keeping the old fashioned tile grout clean and hello to free time.
I am so glad I decided to use innovative splashback rather than following the trend of tiling from floor to ceiling.

DIY Acrylic Splashbacks
I chose Innovative Spashbacks for many reasons. Glass was too expensive and I would never attempt to install myself. Acrylic is easier to install than tiles and more forgiving when installing over the uneven and out of square surfaces I was faced with.
While measuring up with the friendly support of Innovative Splashbacks I had some reservations to DIY. But with their encouragement and helpful instruction guide I decided to give it a crack.
Despite ordering a custom colour I received all material within the week. I was very impressed with the standard of communication from both Innovative and their courier.
After a couple of practices cut with the test piece provided I was ready to go. I was surprised at how similar to timber the material was to work with. All my tools including jigsaw, circular saw, drills and plane worked well. Instructions call for a circular saw guide rail to assist with straight cuts while protecting painted surface from scratches. As I didn’t have one I made one from a $10 piece of melamine from Bunnings.
Some of the awkward shaped pieces around the window I decided to make a template out of 3mm MDF first. When it came to smoothing off the exposed edges I ran a plane over first to take off the rough surface prior to sanding with various grades of wet sand paper.
As recommended when bonding to the wall I used Bostik V60 silicone for acrylics and liquid nails for the stainless steel insert.
When it came to caulking the edges I found translucent very forgiving. The pros make caulking look ridiculously easy. I’m no pro but I eventually got into the rhythm of gunning silicone into the edges, spray of soapy water followed by removal of excess with rubber tools also found at Bunnings for $2.
I am very happy with the finish and all who have seen have complemented me on the job. I will definitely use Innovative Splashbacks in the future and recommend to others.

Printed Kitchen Splashback - W.A.
After finding the photo I wanted from a local photographer, I started googling who would be able to print this onto a splashback for me.
All of my searches were coming up with glass options- which were proving very expensive; not only for the materials, but the transport, transit insurance (or the breakage risk if they didnt offer it!) and installation as well.
I had never thought of printing onto acrylic, I didn't even know it was possible until I started searching for alternative materials.
Innovative Splashbacks ticked all my boxes:

- Very reasonable shipping- because of it's durability, it cost me less to ship it across the country than a glass version would have cost to come down from Perth!

My wife and my self were looking at updating our bathrooms. One of the main things we wanted to change was grout lines. They never seem to stay nice no matter how often you clean them.
We looked at putting up glass splash back but really wasn't in our price range. We then looked into different types of paneling for the wet areas.
We finally found acrylic panels, there are a couple of companies that supply the panels, but only one that had larger than 2400 x 1200 sheet size. This made it possible for us to have full sheets instead of having to have 2 panels on the wall.
The finished result was fantastic, the service we received was second to none. We are more then happy with innovative Splashbacks.
